A Registered Dietitian with master’s degree in food, nutrition and dietetics, Ms. Lakdawala is also a certified diabetes educator and a yoga trainer. Her expertise lies in clinical nutrition with special interest in bariatric nutrition, non-surgical weight loss, digestive issues, enteral feeding and paediatric oncology.
An in-depth knowledge of the science behind food preparation, in addition to patient counselling helps her to be more creative in planning nutritious and yet tasty patient friendly recipes. This makes her diet planning more practical and sustainable.
Her recipe has been featured in the 1st edition of IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders) cookbook for bariatric patients which is recognized globally.
She is the first Asia Pacific recipient of the prestigious IFSO integrated health scholarship 2018, in Dubai.
She is a co-editor of the book- “Management of Nutritional and Metabolic Complications of Bariatric Surgery” published by Springer. She has also contributed a chapter on ‘Nutritional Support in Bariatric Surgery’ in a book on ‘Principles in Critical Care Nutrition’.
She was the Course Co-director of “Advanced Bariatric Nutrition Course (Online)”, an exceptional program endorsed by IFSO, OSSI and University of Sunderland, UK; that helped nutritionists across the globe to train in the field of bariatric nutrition.

Ms. Miloni Shah Sancheti is a registered dietician, bariatric nutritionist, weight loss specialist and a certified diabetic educator with experience in helping with diet in digestive issues and enteral feeding. She has been involved in the care of bariatric surgery patients for over 10 years and is one of the most experienced bariatric nutritionists in India. She is currently working as a consultant bariatric nutritionist with Dr Aparna Govil Bhasker in Mumbai.
Back in 2010, when she first forayed into bariatric nutrition, she self-learnt by trial and error. She developed her skills over a period of many years. Today she is committed to training others. She was the course co-director of a 2 month long, fully virtual course on Advance Bariatric Nutrition, the first of its kind in India.
She was awarded the prestigious IFSO integrated health scholarship, 2020. She has multiple publications and has authored chapters in the field of bariatrics. She is also the co-editor of a book called- “Management of metabolic and nutritional complications after bariatric surgery”. This book is published by “Springer” and the chapters have been contributed by many leading bariatric practitioners from across the world.
She loves to share her rich experience with others and is passionate about training them. While bariatric surgery is a life changing procedure, there is a huge need for post -operative support. In future she would like to invest more time into developing these support systems and also to invest more time into research.
